Scripts

Many of the following scripts are not wholly original to Studio Antipodes.  Some are unmodified copies of other people's scripts used to prepare master tapes, and are presented here merely for documentary purposes.  Some have been modified to one degree or another, such as retiming, editing, translation adjustment, etc.   Some scripts are wholly the work of Studio Antipodes; those scripts are copyright and can be used so long as proper credits are maintained in the scripts.

Mahou Tsukai Tai OAV

These scripts are based on the D.O.M.O scripts which were the basis of the best-known subtitle of this terrific show. These SSA scripts were produced because we were dissatisfied with the sound quality of the subtitled copies we recieved, and we had the LDs available to make good masters. It was necessary to convert the scripts because D.O.M.O use JacoSub, which is an Amiga subtitling program, and our genlocking hardware is IBM-based. The scripts for episodes 5 and 6 are authored by Neko Creations, and I have edited them to fit in more closely with the style of the D.O.M.O. scripts so we have a consistent look and feel across all 6 episodes.

These scripts are mostly unchanged except for the correction of one or two spelling and/or positioning errors from the publicly-available scripts. The only substantive change was in the "I respect you" scene to heighten the suspense and restore the flavour of the original Japanese. In particular, script timing has not been touched, despite the presence of several timing errors. We have no plans to correct this.

Production notes: Because I haven't re-timed these scripts, I'm not absolutely sure of the sync points used. Therefore I use the start of the song lyrics, which makes a very good sync point and it's easy to be accurate.

Mahou Tsukai Tai TV

These scripts are based on scripts produced by Taro Nobusawa, and are used with permission.   They are timed for the DVD versions of Mahou Tsukai Tai TV, and several other modifications have been made from the originals.  Sync points are title 1, chapter 1 start.

Brain Powerd

We were planning to subtitle Brain Powerd until Bandai announced its availability; instead we're making the scripts available to anyone who has the laser discs so they can make a subtitled version for their own use.  These scripts were produced by us.

Card Captor Sakura

This is a repository of the Hooseki scripts.  No changes have been made by us other than adding a "subtitled by" to the credits.

Hyper Police

This is a repository of the Central Anime scripts.  No changes have been made by us other than adding a "subtitled by" to the credits.

Evangelion

Theses Evangelion movie scripts were derived from untimed scripts by Studio 00' and timed against the Theatrical Release versions of the Eva movie LDs.
