Well let's get to it I know there was a ton of mistakes in the last one.
Sorrie about that -_-x; I hope there arn't as many in this one . . . 
Warning! This one is a bit longer than my first 2 parts . . . .

spoiler: volume 24 and the end of Jinchuu <~~~::sniffle:: I hated that
one . . . 

Warm Summer's Eve part 3

{told from Kaoru's pov}

<It is I knew it is him . . . Enishi. Naze? Why now after two years?> I
had a million questions for him but this was the biggest . . . .

"Naze? Why tonight? Why at all? Onegai tell me . . . " I started crying
at the end of that last part. I couldn't help it.

"You'll see in due time. But first you must remain quiet. He should know
where I'm going if he figured out that it was me."

"How would Kenshin know?"

"I left something that he must remember . . . "

{back in Tokyo and Kenshin's pov}

<Not now, not ever. I'm going now!>

"Oi Kenshin!" 

<Great. Sano caught me> I stopped as quickly as I could hoping that I
could take off as fast as possible after this conversation.

"What!?"

"What indeed? Where exactly are you going tonight, ehh?"

"Megumi will tell you later I have to go. Goodbye." I took off running
again. He must have thought something was wrong but I didn't give him the
chance to ask a question. I took off running madly in hopes of finding
her soon, very soon.

<Where do I go? Northern route or the Southern? Southern, I just took
that a couple of years ago I know it fairly well. Enishi . . . I bet it's
you . . . you're the only one that could have that other than me . . . I
have to get her back . . . especially if it's you>

I secured my rage that was building as I had the time to think, which
Enishi shouldn't have given me. <I can't make it to Kyoto like this how
am I supposed to get there fast? If I don't, who knows what will happen
to my koishi? Kamisama, I'm asking you again keep her safe until I catch
up with them . . . Aishiteru my Kaoru-koishi. I won't fail this time I'll
protect you. You can't die, like last time . . . >

{Enishi's carriage, Kaoru pov}

"This is what I need, the white haired brat trying to get at Kenshin
again," I rolled my eyes at the sarcasm I knew I had used.

"What was that?"

<Baka . . . did you forget that he could HEAR you?>

"Iya . . ." I tried to sound at least halfway innocent.

"So how was your day?"

<What kind of a question was that?!?!?! I knew he was different but that
was him just asking for it!>

"My day was absolutely perfect until you poisoned me and kidnapped me
tonight!"

"Ahhh Sokka. Well I am sorry for ruining this particular day but it
should send Battousai's emotions flaring don't you think?"

" . . . maybe . . ." I said that as weakly as I could but enough for him
to hear me. I had to hear what else he had to say to me.

"I know it will and you should too especially since you're married now.
Well whether or not the actual Hitokiri comes out or not does not bother
me. I just want to see Kenshin fight me until he breaks . . . " He glared
at me through those glasses and flashed me that grin that he so loved.

"I know he won't I'll be there with him when he fights."

"Ohh no you won't . . ."

"Nani? Why?"

"Because I have something different in store for you."

<He's still smiling . . . that can't be good.>

"What are you planning to do with me then?"

"I can't tell, but you'll know soon give me another day to reach Kyoto."

<Kyoto! Masaka . . . Kenshin hates the place! . . . All the more reason
for Enishi to use it then I guess . . . but Kyoto?! Any place but that .
. . >

"So that's why you said Kenshin would know where to find me . . . "

"Aa. He knows that Kyoto was the place where my oneesan was buried and
that is the place where he must pay once and for all. Afterall it didn't
work last time. "

[day two]
{Kyoto trail, Kenshin pov}

<I slept for too long. That's not good. I hope I'm not too far behind . .
. >

{Tokyo-Kamiya Dojo, Yahiko's pov}

"Oi!! Kenshin! BUSU!! Where are you? It's 8:00 in the morning come out
already!! I know you've been busy but come on!!" I can't believe but then
again . . . I can.

I raced through the dojo floor from the main entrance and noticed
everything in place in there. Then I headed towards the house. I looked
through the kitchen, and nothing was in there. I came out of there and
checked Keshin'd room first. I knocked three times and there was no
answer. I tried again. Still no answer. 

"Oi Kenshin! You in there?"

::Silence::

<I'll try Kaoru's room> I reached the door and knocked again. Nothing. I
tried again. Still nothing.

"Kaoru! Are you in there?!"

::Silence once more::

<Something's not right. They should be here . . . . What's that?> I heard
footsteps approaching the dojo. They were soft and weak.

"Kaoru is that you?"

"Iya, Yahiko-kun," Megumi said that with her eyes down, her hair covering
it, and her voice so soft.

"Where's Kenshin and Kaoru? Shouldn't they be here? I wanted to see them
today."

"So did I Yahiko-kun."

"So where did they go?"

"Kaoru was kidnapped last night when Kenshin wasn't around to watch her .
. . "

"Masaka . . . uso da . . . "

"Iya Yahiko-kun. I'm sorry. Kenshin thinks that it was Enishi because of
the clue that he left . . . the tanto that Tomoe had. He left last night
after speaking with me. He told me everything. Though it was good that I
couldn't see the Battousai in him . . . . yet."

"What do you mean 'yet'?"

"You heard me . . . yet . . . he becomes Battousai whenever he's angry
but he seemed too calm last night . . . "

"Just where did he go to?"

"Kyoto."

"Iya . . . there?"

"Hai."

"I'm going too."

"Dame. At least not yet . . . let's tell Sanosuke before we do anything."

"You mean, you didn't tell him?"

"That's right, I think he kind of knew. I saw the look in his eyes; he
must have seen Kenshin leave. I didn't think he wanted to hear it all
just yet . . . "

"Okay. Let's go speak with Sano."

{Kyoto, Kaoru's pov}

"We're here."

"We are?" the small house had to be at least 20 years old. It sat on a
mountain but I don't know exactly which one there were quite a few and it
was a fairly small village.

"Where is 'here'?"

"'Here' is all you need to know. Please, go inside."

He helped me out of the carriage after he slashed through the ropes which
had previously bound my ankles.

I walked inside cautiously. I found two futons to the right side, a small
fireplace and a divider that separated the single room house. The house
was dark and closed up as though it hadn't been used for years.

I sat down on a futon which had been unfolded. I didn't mind the dust but
I did wonder why I was here with this man. He didn't seem to hostile, but
he didn't before either . . .

"What are you doing?" it came out choked up in my throat, but it took all
of my courage to ask.

"Nothing."

I knew was because his backed was turned to me and he was obviously
working with something. He came towards me and I shuttered. He took my
wrists and tied them once more against a post near me.

"I'll be back with the Battousai . . . or just possibly Kenshin. I don't
know which one I want just yet . . . or for that matter which one he
wants to be . . . "

I stared at him for a moment and then directed my eyes down as he walked
out the door.



Okay that was part 3 . . . I don't know it's kinda . . . odd. But hey I'm
still trying that counts for something right? -_-x;; Okay I'd appreciate
any comments on this and thanks!
