Welcome to rkresource, the Rurouni Kenshin Resource Mailing List.  This list is meant as a resource for Rurouni Kenshin fanfic writers, to help with questions about Japanese language, history, and culture, and help integrate those aspects into their fics.

Rules:
1. Keep questions and responses *on topic*. They must have todo with Japanese language, history, or culture, and be related in some way to RK fanfiction. This list is not for discussing RK in general, or for questions about the plot ofRK (unless you arediscussing some element of history that goes along with it). I willbe fairly lenient on this, but if the message thread gets too off topic, it will be declareddead. Those responding to the thread after itis declared dead will be given warning. 
2. Absolutely *no flaming.*If a disagreement in opinion arises,agree to disagree and leave it at that, or take it off list. Also,do not respond to a flame on list; those who do so will be givenwarning. 

3. Remember to put *spoiler space* in yourmessages, and label it (i.e. "spoilers forKyoto Arc," "spoilers for manga chapter207," etc.If you are responding to a message with spoiler space don't take it out. Those who don't follow this rule will be warned. 

4. The "3 strikes, you're out" rule: those who break the above rules will be given three warnings, then automatically taken off the list at the next offense.
