This was something that I'd been wanting to do for years. I've been a Robotech fan since the show aired in my area back in 1986 (I was a senior in high school then). I've been affiliated with many facets of Robotech fandom since, and my favorite moment was being at Robocon 10. What a blast it was!
I was one of the staff making preparations for the 'con, and one of my duties was to spread the word about it on the Internet. At the same time, I was acting as a personal advisor to the publisher at Academy Comics. I told her that I had an idea to do an interview with Carl as part of the 'con preparations, and offered to let her publish the final version in any of the Robotech Comic titles that she chose. Well, she chose all of them, during the August '95 run. Boy was *I* surprised!
In any event, I know that some people don't have access to those issues, so I have an alternative. Someone was kind enough to transcribe my interview (from a post I'd made to one of the Robotech listservices way back in the glory days of FidoNET) to HTML format and put it up on their web page. I have placed a copy of that HTML-ized interview here on my website. Click the Interview Link on the left to read away.
